La série AFX de Specim est la principale solution d'imagerie spectrale aéroportée basée sur la série FX de Specim, qui connaît un grand succès. Il s'agit d'un appareil compact tout-en-un comprenant une caméra HSI, un ordinateur puissant et une unité GNSS/IMU haut de gamme. Pesant un peu plus de 2 kg, Specim AFX peut être utilisé sur plusieurs types de drones - multirotor ou à voilure fixe, avec ou sans cardan. Les capacités de la série AFX vont de l'hyperspectral complet au multispectral flexible spécifique à une application.

Specim AFX10 is an all-in-one VNIR hyperspectral imaging solution for spectral ranges from 400 to 1000 nm with a HSI camera, a small and powerful computer and a high-end GNSS/IMU unit in one compact enclosure. The compact unit can easily be exchanged from drone to lab without cabling and the need to dismantle different units.

It is a state-of-the-art solution weighing only 2.1 kg that can be used on multiple drone types – multirotor or fixed-wing, with or without a gimbal. Data is acquired automatically following the waypoints on a flight plan, making the Specim AFX10 easy to operate.

The multiple spectral ROI feature allows to combine and limit the number of spectral ranges in order to change between hyperspectral and application-specific multispectral configurations. This feature may be used to limit data flow or increase frame speed. Fore lens aberrations are fully characterized and increase data accuracy and repeatability. The Specim designed lens guarantees significantly less smile and keystone. AFX10 benefits of a fast optics with f/number 1.7 enabling the camera to collect more light and faster flights. The high-end GNSS/IMU unit provides a full real-time and post-mission position and orientation solution for direct georeferencing.
