Eureka is the first Quartz Crystal Microbalance (QCM) self-powered only by the PC USB port. It’s possible to carry out measures either in liquid or gaseous phase, by using the specific measurement cell. Eureka can work also as an EQCM when it is connected to a potentiostat, to carry out at the same time electrochemical and nanogravimetric measures. It is provided with a user-friendly acquisition software.Features

Eureka is an innovative extremely compact, light and reliable device, designed according to the new frontiers of microelectronics. This QCM is able to work with every value of input frequency, ranging from 1 Hz to more than 50MHz: this means that you can use any quartz crystal as transducer, and at high frequencies you can obtain extremely good resolutions, in the picograms range. The software supplied with the instrument is extremely powerful, user-friendly and easy to use, for this reason you can start your first experiment in a very short time. Static and flow-through measure cells for liquid and gases are available; moreover BioAge can design custom cells different in volumes, dimensions and materials, to fit your specific needs. For the measures in liquid, the QCM is equipped with an external connector which can supply an electrical connection to the quartz electrode in contact with the liquid: this solution allows to use the quartz electrode as a working electrode (WE) in all electrochemical system, therefore Eureka can work as EQCM when is connected to a potentiostat, to carry out electrochemical and nanogravimetric measures at the same time.
