High-speed streaming cameras

from AOS Technologies

Streaming cameras utilise the high storage capacity of a computer or laptop and do not require their own memory. The streaming camera is connected to the computer via the standard 10GigE or USB3 interface. Many hours of footage can be recorded. Therefore, streaming cameras are the best tool for monitoring long-term processes where it is not possible to predict a problem or incident. Streaming cameras are available as small but robust Promon U cameras, as portable units with PromonScope control systems and with highest frame rate seen in commercial streaming units as Promon 2000.
The latest Promon 2000 streaming camera enables very high frame rates with full HD resolution and long recording times.

Models

Promon 2000

The PROMON 2000 is the first commercially available camera to offer full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and the ability to transfer 1000 frames per second directly to a flash disc - a significant breakthrough in high-speed recording technology. For the first time, the PROMON 2000 combines the frame rate of a high-speed camera with long recording times.
Conventional high-speed cameras are limited by the size of the internal memory. The PROMON 2000 overcomes this limitation. Using a 10 Gigabit high-speed Ethernet connection, PROMON 2000 overcomes the data transfer bottleneck. The camera transmits 1000 frames per second in 8-bit mode with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. When high dynamic range is required, the 12-bit sensor captures images at up to 300 frames per second.
Frame rates of up to 50,000 fps can also be achieved in flexibly adjustable smaller image windows. The Promon 2000 is supplied with Imaging Studio V4 software. This allows easy control of the camera and transfer of movies to the attached RAM or large SSD.  Imaging Studio V4 also makes it possible to view the live image while recording to get an immediate insight.

  • 1920 x 1080 pixels
  • 1000 frames per second
  • Flexible windowing for frame rates up to 50000 fps
  • No camera memory required
  • Direct data transfer to PC RAM or HD
  • Colour or monochrome
  • High Speed or High Dynamic Mode
Promon U1000

PROMON U1000 runs a modern 2.3 MegaPixel detector with 1900 x 1200 active pixels at a full frame rate up to 150 frames/sec. When reducing the resolution frame rates up to 3145 fps stunning data rates are possible as well.

Promon U-Series cameras are cost effective, easy to use and easy to install cameras for industrial and scientific applications.

  • 1900 x 1200 pixels resolution
  • 150 fps
  • USB3 based camera that takes images with 640x480 pixels @ 817 frames/sec
  • Stunning data rate of 200+fps
  • Available in color / monochrome
  • Installation of Imaging Studio Software on as many PC as required
  • Records directly into PC RAM and HD
Promon U800

The Promon U800 uses a CMOS detector with 1280x1024 active pixels for high-speed recording. The miniature camera achieves a frame rate of 210 Hz in full frame. In the so-called windowing mode, fewer pixels are read out and higher frame rates of up to over 1680 frames per second are achieved. The smaller image windows can be flexibly selected and adapted to the application situation. Thanks to the high-intensity detector, there is little need to illuminate the scene to be captured. The Promon U800 comes with the powerful but easy-to-use control and readout software Imaging Studio V4.
Using streaming, minute or hour-long sequence recordings are stored directly to a hard drive. The Promon U800 is housed in a small case, making it easy to attach to frames in process. The sensor is known for high image quality and sharpness.

Promon Scope G4 and G4 Twin

Promon Scope G4 is a complete, simple, fully mobile high-speed camera system. Thanks to the new, powerful built-in battery, PromonScope can work for up to 3 ½ hours without mains power. A recording time of up to 30 minutes at a time on the built-in SSD is possible, even longer at reduced resolution. Operation takes place on the 13.3" touch screen. The high-speed camera system Promon Scope G4 sets new standards for portable high-speed recorders. PromonScope G4 is available with 1280x1024 pixel black/white or colour detector. The system is designed for mobile applications and is controlled with intuitive touch screen operation - thanks to its robust construction, even in demanding environmental conditions. Nevertheless, PromonScope G4 is not only intended for industrial use but also for fast, constantly changing applications in research. The high image resolution makes the smallest details of the process visible and enables a detailed analysis of the process. In addition, external analogue signal sources such as voltages, circuit states or PLC signals can be recorded image-synchronously and displayed in the video. If desired, other camera models of the Promon-U series can also be used in the PromonScope.

Promon Scope G4 Twin expands the standard system to a 2-camera system in which one camera functions as a master and one camera as a slave. The cameras can be synchronised or work independently, but can be operated and read out together by the PromonScope touchpad. This makes it possible to analyse an event simultaneously in 2 places. The two cameras do not have to be equipped with the same detector, so that a colour camera can be controlled simultaneously with a black and white camera, or two cameras with different pixel counts.
