Attension Force Tensiometers instruments are used in R&D and quality control for precise characterization of material properties. Analysis of surface and interfacial tension, powder wettability, dynamic contact angles on solids or fibers, critical micelle concentration, density, sedimentation, and adhesion force provides valuable information on the interactions between gas, liquid, and solid phases. The interaction between these phases plays a key role in studying surfactant development, adhesion, formulation development, absorption, and wettability. We provide Attension Force Tensiometers for almost all applications and budgets: The manual system Sigma 703D, the standalone system Sigma 702 and the fully automated systems Sigma 700/701. The precision of each measurement is guaranteed by an ultrasensitive microbalance and smooth sample stage movement.

Models

Sigma 700/701

Sigma 700 and Sigma 701 are state-of-the-art force tensiometers that are able to perform a wide range of measurements and adapt to a great variety of experimental settings. This versatility makes them suitable for research, development, industrial quality control, and educational use.

The system can be fully automated, and measurements can be performed easily with a single click.

Versatility and precision Sigma 700/701 have full support of all measurement modes presented above. Sigma 700 is optimized for dynamic contact angle with heavy samples and powder wettability, and Sigma 701 is optimized for single fiber dynamic contact angle measurements.

Sigma 702 / 702ET

The Sigma 702 and 702ET are standalone force tensiometers that provide accurate surface and interfacial tension measurements, manual determination of Critical Micelle Concentration (CMC) and density measurements.

The open design and convenient control keyboard operations make these instruments easy to use without the need of an external computer. Results are displayed on a large integrated digital screen. The instrument comes equipped with data software and can be connected to an external computer for additional data storage and simple reporting.

The Sigma 702ET is specifically designed for the quality control of transformer oils. It follows IEC 62961 and ASTM D971 standards to measure the interfacial tension between a transformer oil and water as a quality control measure for the oil.

Sigma 703D

The Sigma 703D is an accurate manual standalone force tensiometer for quality control and research. Robust and convenient, it is the optimal tool for simple surface and interfacial tension, density and CMC (manual) measurements.

Standalone system operated by the keyboard at the instrument shows the results instantly on a large integrated digital screen. Results can be printed or imported on PC if desired.
