New Experimental Capabilities with the FusionScope at Samarkand University

The successful installation of a FusionScope system at Samarkand University has expanded the institution’s existing research infrastructure with a powerful platform for correlative microscopy. The system considerably broadens the university’s experimental capabilities in materials science and nanotechnology, with a particular focus on quantum-dot research.
The FusionScope integrates scanning electron microscopy (SEM), atomic force microscopy (AFM) and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) within a single platform. This combination enables the direct correlation of topographical, electrical, mechanical and chemical information acquired from the same region of a sample. For researchers and students, this not only saves considerable time but also provides more comprehensive and meaningful experimental data.
The system was installed in close collaboration with the university’s local research team. In addition to technical commissioning, particular emphasis was placed on user training to ensure safe and efficient operation from the outset. The team’s strong motivation and scientific interest highlight the considerable potential of this technology for future research projects.
We are delighted to contribute to the continued development of scientific excellence at Samarkand University and look forward to seeing the research results made possible by this installation.
