Tips and tricks – New book about magnetic measuring methods for material characterization

The book covers the most common methods for characterizing magnetic material properties and shows interesting application examples. Tom Hogan and Randy Dumas, application specialists at Quantum Design, co-authored the chapter: "Recent Advances in SQUID Magnetometry". It deals primarily with the SQUID-VSM method. In addition, the authors describe how remanent fields can be dealt with and how to improve measurement accuracy.
Other chapters are about vibrating-sample and torque magnetometry, the magneto-optical Kerr effect, first-order reversal curve (FORC) analysis and more.
The book is published by Springer-Verlag and available as eBook and hardcover (ISBN 978-3-030-70442-1).
