Measuring Hall effect made simple

Our partner Lake Shore offers a great variety of systems for measuring the Hall effect. Model HMS-TT is a compact entry-level system with a broad range of features. It is specified for sample resistances up to 1 gigaohm and allows even higher resistances.
HMS-TT is a complete hard and software package. It contains: Measurement platform with 1 T permanent magnet, M91 FastHall Measurement Controller, computer with MeasureLink software, a set of sample holders and all necessary cabling (incl. triaxial cable for low-noise sample connection). Measurements and evaluation are fully automated. The contacts can be checked for ohmic behavior and the software optimizes the measurement settings. The system provides measurement data and further sample parameters like Hall coefficient, mobility and charge carrier concentration.

The HMS-TT measurement system only requires an 80 x 80 cm2 tabletop space and a socket. Optionally, the system can be equipped with gate bias and single point temperature options for measurements at ~77 K. Measuring in Fast Hall mode is always quicker than standard Hall measurements, because it does not require magnetic field reversal. Thanks to its broad measurement range, the HMS TT system is suited for a variety of sample materials like solar cells, organic electronics, indium tin oxides (ITO), various semiconductors (III-V, II.VI, elemental, TMDC,...) topological and 2D materials, etc.
We have a system in our demo lab and will be glad to present all features to you at our premises or through an online demonstration.
