LWIR spectral camera
From SPECIMHyperspectral imaging in the longwave infrared (LWIR) band offers new ways to identify and quantify even more materials based on their characteristic spectral signatures. Thermal LWIR spectral imaging covers the range 8 – 12 µm and is widely used to analyze chemicals, gases, minerals or atmospheric radiations. Specim is the first manufacturer to have developed push-broom devices for hyperspectral imaging in the LWIR. The new FX120 Series allows an easy integration of a robust, professional camera in scientific demanding applications or online processes in industrial environments.
- Spectral band: 8-12 µm
- Cooled high end MCT detector
- High spectral and spatial resolution
- Robust and compact design
- High sensitivity
Further information
FX120 is the innovative Specim LWIR hyperspectral camera covering the full range from 7.7 to 12.3 µm. The highly sensitive camera is based on a cooled longwave MCT detector. The camera offers a spatial resolution of 615 pixels and offers a spectral sampling of as good as 30 nm. Spectral data are sampled in 134 bands. The camera runs with a frame rate of up to 120 frames per second allowing windowing mode to reduce data. The built in shutter allows to acquire the dark image before the data acquisition easily and automatically via software.
The numerical aperture of 2 expresses that FX120 has a very good throughput and light sensitivity allowing to run acquisition also with difficult signal levels.
The 14 bit data is transfered by a GigE Vision interface for easy integration and data acquisition.
