Tom Hogan and Randy Dumas, application specialists at Quantum Design, co-authored the chapter: "Recent Advances in SQUID Magnetometry". It deals primarily with the SQUID-VSM method. In addition, the authors describe how remanent fields can be dealt with and how to improve measurement accuracy.
