New Xenics IR camera module Dione – Tiny but mighty!
Xenics have just launched a new OEM detector module series based on a circuit board. The microbolometer technology is state-of-the-art for the thermal infrared range.
The brand-new microbolometer array features a 12 µm pixel pitch and an outstanding spatial resolution of 640 x 480 pixels. All image optimization algorithms are proprietary Xenics developments and provide superior images.
Dione is compact, lightweight and easy to integrate. It also has minimal power consumption. With a footprint of 25 x 25 x 10 mm³, it can easily be fitted in proprietary housings or plants. Even when put in a Xenics housing the module is about the size of a Lego brick and much smaller than our smallest LWIR cameras of the Gobi series.
The modules are constructed for use without shutter which saves even more space and power consumption.
The versions with small housing (Dione 640 CAM) are fitted with M24 or M34 optic adapters and allow the use of a variety of lenses. The lens adapter can be freely chosen.
The different modules and circuit boards of the Dione 640 series use a SAMTEC ST5 interface and are suitable for GenICam. The 16-bit image transfer is CameraLink-compatible.
Dione is a state-of-the-art camera module suited for applications in the LWIR where small camera modules are to be integrated or where a machine or camera is constructed based on a circuit board.
