Supercontinuum Fiber Lasers

Supercontinuum generation is a process in which laser light is converted into light with a very wide spectral bandwidth (i.e. low temporal coherence), ie. Ultra-wide continuous spectrum. This means that the temporal coherence is very low, while the spatial coherence is usually still high.

Supercontinuum generation is a process in which laser light is converted into light with a very wide spectral bandwidth (i.e. low temporal coherence), ie. Ultra-wide continuous spectrum. This means that the temporal coherence is very low, while the spatial coherence is usually still high.

White lasers FYLA Horizon and Iceblink provide a broadband spectrum, from 450nm up to 2300nm, with a total power >3W and a pulse width less than 10 ps.

The power in visible range is about 250 mW for Horizon and 150mW for Iceblink. The rep rate of these laser is 80MHz. It has a great stability, < 0.5 % (standard deviation value), with continuous operation > 10,000h. The output of the laser is collimated. Jitter between optical output pulses < 20 ps. Jitter between optical output pulse and sync output signal pulse < 100 ps.

Version of Iceblink with a Pulse Picker enables users to select specific laser pulses, allowing for adjustable repetition rates and tailored light output.
