X-ray detectors

Manufacturers of X-ray analysis equipment, e.g. for energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), and also research laboratories are constantly pushing for X-ray components that enable higher performance at lower costs. High performance X-ray detectors are critical to the construction of high quality instruments. Moxtek® has improved the sensitivity of Si-PIN detectors by using thicker diodes and thinner beryllium windows. The improvement enables faster sampling times, higher sensitivity and an extended range of photon detection.
