Modular Design for Advanced Research

Artemis integrates the Nikon Ti2 inverted research microscope with state-of-the-art optical tweezers, fluorescence modules, and microfluidic control. Its modular architecture enables flexible system configurations tailored to cell mechanics, single-molecule studies, colloid physics, and many other applications. The platform is fully scalable and ready for upcoming technology extensions.

High-Tech Integration Across All Modules

All components—including the FluoLED 6 fluorescence system, the Tweez305 optical tweezers, and the FluidWiz-10 microfluidic module—operate through a unified Python software environment. This enables synchronized hardware control, time-stamped data acquisition, and reproducible workflows. Active vibration isolation ensures highest stability, while the Class 1 laser enclosure guarantees optimum laboratory safety.

Future-Proof Extensions

A TIRF module is currently in proof-of-principle evaluation with promising initial imaging results. Additional confocal and Raman modules are planned for launch in 2026, expanding Artemis into a fully multimodal biophysical platform.
