Selecting the right teslameter

When looking for the right Gauss or teslameter for your application, it needs to be considered that not every sensor, sample and teslameter are the same and that every solution has its own place in the market.
The challenge is to find out what properties you need and where the manufacturers hide them in their marketing material.
Our partner Lake Shore has published a white paper to help you choose the right teslameter. In this paper they highlight the most important parameters to help you select the right device.
They explain which hardware and software properties are most important. Crucial for selecting the hardware are accuracy, measuring range, choosing the right probe, temperature compensation and user-friendliness.
On the software side, it is important to have settings options such as the ability to switch between direct and alternating current and error correction. In addition, holding functions and data acquisition are necessary for many applications in order to be able to use the collected data for further evaluations.
Finally, Lake Shore provides a decision tree to help you select the appropriate measuring device.
We will be happy to help you with your selection and answer any further questions you may have.
