Benchtop Micro-XRF Spectrometer Systems

ATLAS from iXRF Systems

The benchtop micro-XRF spectrometer ATLAS manufactured and developed by iXRF Systems is the latest general-purpose Energy Dispersive X-Ray Fluorescence (EDXRF) system.

With the smallest X-ray spot in the industry at 5 μm, it has an optimized analysis speed without compromising accuracy.

ATLAS provides a wide elemental mapping of elements from sodium (Na) through uranium (U) in the standard detection configuration or carbon (C) through uranium (U) in the Light Element (LE) detection configuration.

Features
  • Solid, liquid or powder raw samples can be analyzed
  • Large sample chamber volume
  • Spot size down to 5 μm with anti-halo optics
  • Ready to use all-in-one software for multiple applications
  • Unprecedented detector active area: up to 600 mm2 with 4 SDD detectors

Further information

Designed to visualize and analyze a wide variety of sample types, ATLAS is suitable for multiple applications, with a powerful integrated software, the highest detector active area and an innovative perpendicular X-ray micro-spot tube geometry.

The ATLAS system is available in two different versions, X and M:

Atlas-X:

  • sample chamber size of 950x650x365mm
  • 600x300x150mm motorized X, Y, Z stage
  • secondary X-ray source up to 60 kV

Atlas-M:

  • sample chamber size of 508x457x254mm
  • 320x320x120mm motorized X, Y, Z stage
  • secondary X-ray source up to 40 kV

However, the maximum scanning speed for the two systems is unchanged, regardless of the stage, as well as the size of the micro-spot of the primary source and the speed of movement of the sample.

ATLAS micro-XRF system features the most voluminous sample chamber available on the XRF market, allowing for automation of more samples with a wide area-mapping capability. The instrument can measure the composition of a vast range of sample types, whether small or large, even or irregularly shaped. With its large high-speed stage, it supports 2D scan analysis of any kind of sample: solids, liquids, powders, thin-films and particles. The optional Light Element detection configuration confers also a superior light element (low-Z) sensitivity to the system.
