Hyperspectral cameras for drones

Specim AFX series is an airborne hyperspectral cameras compact, all-in-one device with a powerful computer and a high-end GNSS/IMU unit integrated.

Specim AFX cameras can be used on various drone types – fixed-wing, multirotor, with or without a gimbal -  thanks to its weight: only 2.1kg (AFX10) and 2.4Kg (AFX17).

All-in-one casing allows minimal cabling, easy mounting and fully automated data acquisition.

With F/1.7 aperture combined with the image enhancement algorithm, AFXs guarantee for high quality  data collection.

AFXs enable multiple region of interest (MROI) to be drawn on sensor: focus on the relevant areas and reduce the amount of recorded data. Morover MROIs can be changed on the fly during acquisition.

Two AFX are available:

1. AFX10 with spectral sensitivity 400nm -1.000nm
2. AFX17 with spectral sensitivity 900nm -1.700nm

Specim AFX10 is best suited for:

• vegetation classification and species identification
• water quality analysis
• wetlands monitoring
• wildlife population study

Specim AFX17 is best suited for:

• moisture, nutrition and fertilizer analysis from the soil
• advanced vegetation species identification
• plant health and stress studies
• forest fires detection
