Further information

The Moxtek Mox140G is a robust, air-cooled miniature X-ray source designed for environments that require high penetration power in a small footprint. Its metal-ceramic transmission tube can operate up to 140 kV, enabling high-energy radiographic imaging and backscatter techniques where photon penetration and signal strength are essential.

The X-ray source is available in fan-beam and cone-beam versions, allowing instrument designers to select the optimal geometry for their application. The 0.001 inch tungsten window provides durability, a well-defined emission profile, and a balance between transmission strength and shielding integrity.

A built-in digital I2C control interface ensures precise and repeatable operation. The internal collimator supports solid cone or fan angles up to 60°, enabling broad illumination fields for imaging or focused beams for analytical tasks. Radiation leakage is designed to remain below 1.0 mR/h at 5 cm, supporting safety-critical applications.

The Mox140G’s combination of high energy, compact size, and integrated shielding makes it an excellent choice for portable inspection tools, C-arm systems, and industrial or security imaging platforms.
