Further information

MiniPIX Portable Small USB Camera: consisting in a single TimePIX device with Si sensor interfaced by a plug-and-play 2.0 USB connection. MiniPIX can measure energy for each detected particle with high sensitivity and readout speed up to 45 frames/s. Compact size allows the camera to be inserted into pipes or confined spaces to take images otherwise difficult to make. Therefore, MiniPIX can find applications in imaging (for example, X-ray or neutron imaging) and ionizing particle tracking, sorting them into several groups according to their tracks (e.g., X-rays, electrons, neutrons, alphas, etc…).

AdvaPIX Modular High-Speed Camera: consisting in a single TimePIX device with Si or CdTe sensor interfaced by a USB 3.0 connection. The camera module is designed with emphasis on fast frame rate, which goes up to 1700 frames/s. Its sustainable high frame rate makes it optimal for X-ray imaging of dynamic processes, for spectral X-ray imaging or ion detection. Advanced data processing algorithms allow ion detection with spatial super-resolution of up to 200 nm.

WidePIX Multi-Chip Cameras: consisting in a 1x5, 2x5 or 5x5 TimePIX tiles of edgeless Si or CdTe sensors. The edgeless sensor technology allows placing all tiles tightly together from all sides. Thus, the whole imaging area of the cameras are fully sensitive to the radiation, as there are no gaps between the tiles in the image.

Technology:

ADVACAM technology is based on direct single photon counting conversion, that represent the cutting edge of current radiation imaging technology. The term “single photon counting” means that every single photon of X-ray radiation, detected in individual pixel, is processed and counted. This technology brings advantages of higher contrast together with sharpness and spectral resolution, that allows material specific information to be displayed in colors.

The photon counting principle of detection eliminates all other sources of noise that are present in CCD or flat panel cameras. This leads to considerably better signal-to-noise ratio, thus detectability of more details in images.
