Picosecond Supercontinuum Fiber Laser
Iceblink from FylaSupercontinuum generation is a process in which laser light is converted into light with a very wide spectral bandwidth (i.e. low temporal coherence), ie. Ultra-wide continuous spectrum. This means that the temporal coherence is very low, while the spatial coherence is usually still high.
White laser FYLA Iceblink provides a broadband spectrum, from 450nm up to 2300nm, with a total power >3W and a pulse width less than 10 ps.
The power in visible range is about 150 mW, The rep rate of this laser is 80MHz. It has a great stability, < 0.5 % (standard deviation value), with continuous operation > 10,000h. The output of the laser is collimated. Jitter between optical output pulses < 20 ps. Jitter between optical output pulse and sync output signal pulse < 100 ps.
At the moment we have an optical trigger output, because many applications require synchronous monitoring of an individual pulse with its corresponding measured effect. The FC/APC OPTICAL REFERENCE connector in the front Panel provides an optical reference pulsed signal generated from the seed of the Iceblink laser. Such signal can be converted to electrical domain using fast photodetectors and utilized as a temporal reference for synchronous measurements (e.g. pump/probe experiments).
