Storm™ 10 cm Gas Cell
From SpecacThe Storm™ 10 series gas cells are the ideal choice for measuring the infrared spectra of concentrated gases, gas mixtures, and vapors (>1%) at ambient temperature and pressure.
The heatable Storm™ gas cell allows the analysis of gaseous samples from room temperature up to 250 °C.
- 10 cm fixed path length, single-pass design
- Demountable design for ease of maintenance
- Choice of body and window materials
- Two valves for evacuation, static or flow-through operation
- Heating up to 250 °C available as an option for the stainless steel version
Further information
The Storm™ can be used wherever gases or vapors in the mid-infrared range need to be analyzed under reproducible conditions, especially in analytical laboratory and research environments.
It is suitable, for example, for vapor space analysis to investigate volatile components in solids or liquids, such as for determining solvent residues or degradation products. It is also a useful solution for emission and process gas monitoring to analyze gases from reaction systems, small reactors, or test stands.
In a heatable version, it also enables thermal decomposition and release studies, for example in polymer, coating, or material testing.
Applications
- Routine analysis of gases and gas mixtures
- FTIR analysis of vapors and volatile components
- Quality control and laboratory analysis
- Steam chamber analysis for the investigation of volatile components
- Analysis of solvent residues and degradation products
- Emissions and process gas monitoring
- Analysis of gases from reactors or test benches
- Thermal decomposition and release studies (heated version)
